I'm a varsity freshman, and bat third. My batting average was at .541 but lately I've been in a HUGE Slump. My average has dropped down to below .400. I know most people are saying "If your hitting over .300 then you're doing great," but not when I know that I can hit for a much higher average. Lately at the plate I haven't felt comfortable and just can't even visualize myself getting a good hit. I'm pulling everything, instead of driving it up the middle or backside like I was doing in the past. Does anyone have any drills, things to do, or comments about this?

hey man, i know what you mean. i am a sophomore starting on the pre season #1 team in the state of GA. what i like to do is set up a tee in a batting cage and leave the rest of the cage empty so i can see where the ball goes. try to hit the ball straight up the middle and if you dont you can tell what you are doing wrong. good luck on the season. it works for me, i am hitting .383 with 4 HRs in probably one of the toughest counties to play baseball in. Try facing Miers Quigley twice a year.
