I'm a varsity freshman, and bat third. My batting average was at .541 but lately I've been in a HUGE Slump. My average has dropped down to below .400. I know most people are saying "If your hitting over .300 then you're doing great," but not when I know that I can hit for a much higher average. Lately at the plate I haven't felt comfortable and just can't even visualize myself getting a good hit. I'm pulling everything, instead of driving it up the middle or backside like I was doing in the past. Does anyone have any drills, things to do, or comments about this?

This happens to me on and off throughout the season. Ill go for a bout 5 games with 2 or more hits in each one then out of nowhere ill got 0-7 in my next couple at bats. One thing that works is if u just tell yourself its really easy to get a hit and that u know ur going to, basically it helps me if i get a bit cocky also i try not to focus so much when im warming up to bat. Finally one thing that surprisingly helps is to sing a song in ur head when ur up, it relaxes you and lets you forget about how bad ur doing
