It's been awhile since I have posted here but I had to relay a little info about Adam. I know It's frowned upon to promote your own son but sometimes it is ok to brake the rules. For those of you who know Adam and have followed him over the years know how academics were just as important to him as were athletics.
Well today we got the news that all his hard work had paid off, he is Valedictorian. He was told that he had been ranked at the top of his class for the past four years and would be finishing his senior year #1. Needless to say, we are very proud of him and excited for what the future may hold.

Thanks for letting me brake this little rule!

Danny,

This is great news. Please send Adam my congrats. As a father, I can't imagine how proud you must be. Wow, what an accomplishment. Doing what Adam has done is much more difficult than any athletic achievement out there.

Wow......that's awesome.

Anyhow, speaking of sons, my door bell hasn't rang yet and the Earl Campbell's are getting frost bite.

What's up? Mad
Congrats to Adam, known him since he was a little guy.

I remember driving by the old Methodist Field in Lake Dallas and seeing Danny and Adam up there working on his fast ball.....when he was 7.

Hours on end Danny worked with Adam....and the baseball side has paid off with a scholarship to a D1 program.

Adam is a quiet kid, you won't get too many words out of him. But make no mistake about it, he's a competitor.

My son and Adam were in Kindergarten together and went to the same schools until they were in 6th grade. Never played on the same team, Danny would never be one of my assistants, said it was stacking the deck.... Big Grin

Last fall on DBat, they played ball on the same team together for the first time, as they will again this summer.

Danny, you do in fact have one special kid.

Jan,

Thank you.

Playing for the Columbia Lions In the ivy league speaks for itself. Mike obviously has worked hard both on the field and in the classroom and is reaping it's rewards. One of the nicest kids (young man now) that Adam ever had the pleasure of playing with.

Tell Mike that Danny, Ruth and Adam says congratulations and that we will be following him as he continues his athletic career as a Columbia Lion!
