can't believe no one has any info on irish baseball! oh well, i'll try to share my experiences in the next few days. it all starts with a 10 hour drive to south bend, ugh...
dorm check-in after lunch. eck stadium, touchdown jesus, the golden dome, the grotto -- can't say enough about the campus. just awesome. lots of drills/ bp. starting early tomorrow, including a game. lights out after the all-star game. food is good
d2 up at 7am, breakfast, field by 9. strength & conditioning coach tore us up; great workout! game, bp, lunch, another game. home-to-first time trial; did it in 4.0 (lhb) talked to a few coaches about positional play, projected sat scores (i've only taken the psat), gpa -- very helpful and positive comments (thanks coaches for the ray of hope!) did i mention food is actually pretty good.
sorry i didn't update the last few days. overall a great camp if you are interested in ND. toured the athletic facilities which as you might have guessed are first-class. coaches said they are looking for lhp, lhb, 3b, 1b and OF with speed.
know a kid who atteneded and loved it...thought the conditioning weightlifting was way over used though..that in itself makes me NOT want to send my 13-14 5 foot 1 90lb kid who still has open growth plates...
