Since you asked, here's what happened:
On Saturday, May 6:

Bulldogs have a rough day; Yorktown defeats Stone Bridge 13-4

R H E LOB
Yorktown 13 14 4 9
Stone Bridge 4 8 1 8
WP-Brian Burns
LP- Tony Mazur

The Stone Bridge Bulldogs didn't have much go right South Lakes HS today as they made up a game from the South Lakes/Woodson Spring Break tournament. The Bulldogs (11-7, 7-5) hit into 3 double plays and could not get the key hit as the Yorktown Patriots defeated Stone Bridge, 13-4. Sr. 2B Niko Kolocuris continued his hot hitting, going 2 for 3 with a double. Sophomore 3B Mike Stancik went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a run scored. Matt Irwin went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI. David Ball, Tony Mazur and Chris Dzurilla each had 1 hit.

The flipside of this game was that the Patriots were able to get several clutch hits to extend innings and bring runners around.

The Bulldogs next district contest is a critical one, as they travel to Langley to take on the Saxons next Tuesday, May 9. Game time is 6:30PM. A win moves them into a tie for third place in the Liberty District.
