Connor Jones looked solid on the mound, but didn't get much help defensively. GB's infield is young and inexperienced, and it showed (esp. at short and second). GB's catcher also had a very forgettable game. The defense needs to get better hella fast for GB to be a contender this year. The difference here was GB's errors and poor play at catcher. That is not to say that Hickory did not play a good game, esp. defensively. But GB did not do itself any favors.
