Day 1 of the ODAC Tournament started yesterday. It has become my yearly tradition to drive to Lynchburg to watch 3 games.
Looks like weather is coming in but if you can get up there this weekend I highly suggest it. City Stadium, home park of the Hill Cats, is a great little stadium. The views of the mountains 360 degrees around the park are stunning.
Yesterday saw the higher seed win all 3 games.
2 teams that have been regulars in the tourney were on the outside looking in this year... HSC & Lynchburg. VWC looks to be back to their normal tournament ready team. EMU, under the leadership of Coach Of the Year Ben Spotts, made the tournament for the 1st time in a long time. Spotts was the RC at Bridgewater forever. He is building a brand from the ground up at EMU. Roanoke also made the tournament again. Matt McGuire has put Roanoke baseball on the map.
Full schedule here.

I did hear a rumor (haven't read the tourney rules myself) that if the tournament cannot be completed due to weather the highest seed automatically moves on without completing the tournament.
