ODAC Tourney Starts Thursday

For those of you that are big fans of college baseball you may want to consider driving out to Lynchburg at the end of the week.

All games are played at City Stadium, home of the Hill Cats. Really nice minor league park. Much closer to what we need in Richmond for the Squirrels compared to The Diamond.

1st round schedule...

Thursday, April 24
GAME 1: #1 Shenandoah vs. #6 Hampden-Sydney- 11:00am
GAME 2: #2 Randolph-Macon vs. #5 Lynchburg - 2:30pm
GAME 3: #3 Bridgewater vs. #4 Washington and Lee - 6:00pm

Totally agree ... City Stadium has one of the best fan friendly layouts I have aver experienced. It is an older stadium that looks like it was "upgraded" a few years back. I am not sure when.

I attended the ODAC Tourney for the first time last year and it also struck me that Richmond needs something like this. A rework of the Diamond wouldn't compare. You would have to tear it down and start all over ... somewhere.

We will be heading there once again on Thursday.
