What are your goals and expectations for your boy?

We all know 5% of drafted kids smell coffee at the show. If you keep that in mind, drink Tea, as I do.

Efforts can be directed to attain the highest draft po$ition, and after that, it i$ a BONU$

Same as for my daughters...

- Find something they love to do and follow their dreams.
- Be the best they can be at it.
- Find a loving/caring partner for life as I have.
- Follow the golden rule.

...everything else is gravy.

I don't get this comment either? Nor do I get the relationship of the title of the thread ("ODDS") to the questions asked. I suppose that can be seen as "scary," but it may be more related to aging. Big Grin

My Son's goal is to play professional baseball. This has been his burning desire since he was 9 or 10. I believe he will achieve his goal, and have done all I can to assist him. I share this goal with my Son. Not for the potential monetary rewards but for the love of the game. My Son finds JOY when he is on a baseball field. He is happiest there. He belongs on a baseball field, and is fun to watch. We do not know when it will end, but expect a good number of years still lie ahead.

So glad you feel the same way, I still have no clue.
My expectations and goals for my kids. Gosh the more I thought about question the harder the question seemed. To be honest I want them to be happy. I want them to have success in whatever is important to them. My oldest is married now and is a Deputy. So now I want him to be a great husband. I want him to enjoy his job and be the very best at it. And if he decides he wants to do something else I want him to find something he loves to do so when or if he has children my goal for him will be to be a great father.

My youngest is in college. I want him to be happy. I want him to have success at baseball but I also want his team to have success. I want him to get a college degree and a great education. When the time comes for him to leave college if he wants to continue to play baseball I want him to have that opportunity. But whatever he does I just want him to be happy and have a full life.

Nothing matters if your not happy and you do not enjoy what you do. I want them to be happy and enjoy whatever they do. I want them to be people that think of others. I want the word "others" to be a special word to them. I want them to understand that what you do for other people will be way more fullfilling in your life than anything you do for yourself.

If my son is a bus driver , carpenter , fireman , lawyer , baseball player etc etc I want them to have the desire to be the very best they can be. I want them to care about other people. And I want them to be happy.

The only expectations I have ever had for my kids is whatever they do they do it with pride and passion. And that they respect other people and think of others. Goals. Be happy.
