odu field upgrades

Was down at the field this weekend. The brick walls down the sides are almost complete. They need to finish the cap and put up the gates. New foul poles and a new "blue" fence around the perimeter of the bleachers. The outfield fence is up but the padded exterior still needs to go up. There will be graphics on the padded wall. The line up the right field line has been cut into the field to make room for the Rally Alley. There is supposed to be a deck built, but not sure if that will happen before the season starts in 25 days.

The office has been redone with paint and carpet. The pictures have come off the wall so if you know any players that may want their pictures from the past, please let me know.

The future brings an inside facility and seatbacks for all of the stands. There are many other items in the works.

The banquet was this weekend and was very successful. Tim Druzgala received the Bud Metheny Award and gave a wonderful speach.

Stopped by & walked around for a few minutes (someone should probably start locking the gate @ 3rd base foul line... or not). It looks great (not that it was bad before) - another addition to the numerous quality facilities here in the Commonwealth!
