Are college baseball players allowed to work-out with paid personal trainers in the off season? In HS my son had a terrific hitting coach that knew the ins and outs his swing and that he worked with all year round -- more during the off season than during the season. Do college baseball players do that sort of thing? Is it forbidden by the rules? Is that something you'd have to go off campus to do? Would it be prohibited to hire a private coach to work with you on campus? Are the school's coaches restricted from recommending such a person to a player?
