Mine started out working on a farm while staying with friends in Georgia, as well as coaching a hs travel team and giving lessons. He's on his way back up there now --- the work with and workout setup is just better there for him to get ready for ST.

When he came home for the holidays, he did sports photography work for the company I work for. He had amusing stories about the parents and coaches discussing baseball with 'the photographer'.

Like when he was taking pics at a private school tournament, middle school age, dreadful level of play. A couple of Moms approach him asking for lots of pictures of their sons. "Mine's the pitcher. He'll be on the mound in the middle of the field." "Mine's the catcher. He'll be behind the batter." Aeden took in this information with a smile and allowed as he'd take lots of pictures of them. "Now", sez the pitcher's mother, "don't take any pictures of him if he's doing something wrong or his Dad will yell at him." "You mean like flying open with his shoulder or coming down hard on his front leg?" asks Aeden. "Oh, do you know something about baseball?" "Yes, ma'am, some."
This year (his first year in milb) his "job" is to stay in shape for spring training. Luckily he doesn't need to get a second job right now. He's working out, eating properly and chomping at the bit to get going. I'm not so sure he could even get a job since he's only home for a few months and the economy is so bad. My youngest daughter who is still in HS can't even get one!
