Hi

'08 nephew has 3 offers on the table right now (two C-USA, and one SEC). He has a scheduled official visit (his first) with another SEC school in late September.

Originally, I didn't know why it was scheduled so late, but realized that this school has a home football game that day (Saturday), and they probably want to take him to that game.

(1) For these official visits, would he be the only recruit scheduled for that day? Or do they bring multiple recruits in and take them all to the football game, etc?

(2) He hasn't made up his mind yet and is still open to the other three schools that have given him offers (offers came in July and early Aug). Should he be in contact with these coaches letting them know that he's still thinking about it and may not make up his mind until early October?

(3) He will be playing in the Perfect Game "World Wood Bat" showcase in Jupiter, FL in late October. I'm sure he will have already made up his mind by then. Is there any benefit to him going if he's already committed to sign at that point?

Thanks.

#1. He will not be the only recruit, but he might be the only one not committed as yet.

#2. Yes, he should remain in contact with them or they should have remained in contact with him once a week.

#3.That's a personal decision. Many who have committed still come, many pro scouts attend to watch prospects.

Why would a pro scout come to an official visit.
I am probably confused.

#3 is about playing in Jupiter, I answered according to questions asked. Smile
