I have been invited for an official visit with a strong JUCO from up here and also invited to a JUCO in another state to "work out with the team". Can someone please help me sort this out? How does this all work?
Not too sure about the "official Visit", but my Son has been invited to work out with a couple of JUCO's. He went to one last week and had a great time. Took infield and hit, then got a tour of the facilities and learned about the program. He was very happy with how it went.
I am new to all this and I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong...but, I don't believe there is such a thing as an "Official Visit" in a JUCO program. I believe that the true Official Visit is only a creature of D-1, maybe D-2 Ball.
Well my son has a visit this weekend to an NAIA school and they are paying all his lodging, food and transportation and he will work out with team and play in an inter-squad game as well as tour campus and meet with administration.
There are also official visits at the D3 level (although apparently rare), as my son is going on one to a school in NJ next week, and they are also paying all his expenses and arranged his flight.
To new viewers: Are there official visits ot JUCO's? I was invited to what the coach called an "official visit" so I'm not sure whether that is reflected on my max of 5 visits.
