BTW, my son's teammate Stan Widman was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 39th round. As you all know Stan is recovering from surgery due to tumor growth in his vertabrea. That was classy.

Clemson had 10 11 players drafted and 3 signees (that I know of).

I thought it was a VERY classy move to draft Widman...I remember when you brought his problem to our attention.

I agree TPM! Pretty exciting stuff! I have followed most of these kids that have had the pleasure of hearing their number, and it's very special seeing them achieve part of their dream! The best of luck to each and every one!!

Great post, TPM. I agree--there are soooo many people to congratulate. This is awesome...I can't even imagine the feeling. Even if your son is drafted in the last round, your kid was drafted. To just hear his name.....

TPM, I'd like to say that not only is this a big draft for those players who's parents frequent this site, it is a tremendous indicator of why those players have done so well. PARENTS THAT TAKE AN ACTIVE INTEREST IN THEIR KIDS!
