Tom:

Thanks as always for the very kind words. When Chris gets to Wilmington, Delaware someday, you will have to come down to catch a game. We have a 13 year old who is starting to play travel ball thus summer, I'm sure we will see you around at some point down the road.

Keep up the great work with College Select, and all you do for the players in the Northeast. Hopefully, we'll talk soon. I'll tell Chris you said hi!

All the best,
Wally

As soon as Chris knows where and when let me know-- if it is possible the wife and I will drive down to see him play--

Ironically, one of my best personal friends is a Royals scout over in NY so he keeps me posted on the young'uns coming up in their system and he has already mentioned the Lubanski name. With the DeJesus boy coming along nicely, he may start in the OF for the Royals this year, it is possible that we could see an outfield very soon with two Northeast players in it--Chris and David

Give me a call when you get a moment just to say hello and chat a bit.

CubanLefty--Thank you for the congrats, if you are ever going to be in Wilmington when Chris is there, send over an email and we will try to get you some tickets. Good luck and keep working hard this season.

Alex--nice to hear from you, please tell Jake we said hi (great player, outstanding young man!). Not sure yet where Chris will start although my guess is Burlington, Iowa. He is playing on the Wilmington squad this spring out in Arizona, batting leadoff, and is off to a good start. But I still think he will go to Burlington first, and hopefully be up with the Blue Rocks later this season. It will be exciting for us to see him play locally a little!

Tom--Chris just got the chance to meet David DeJesus last week, very impressive player Chris said, and David is hitting the ball very, very well this spring. The Royals' outfield can change quite a bit over the next couple years particularly if Carlos Beltran leaves, so there should be some solid opportunities for several players. If you haven't seen it yet, Chris is doing a journal for MLB.com (double click on Minors) about every 2-3 weeks, the second installment is up today I believe. I'll call you later this week!

Thanks,
Wally
May I add congratulations as well to Chris! We're from Pottstown and I always made sure to show my son the local articles On Chris since my son also plays CF. I would always tell him that he was what true dedication was. It is really nice to see a local boy make it to the big time. I know my son followed his high school career with much interest and I think he even saw a game or 2 with some of his baseball buddies to see just how good he was since his name was thrown around the area as being soo good and I know he didn't disappoint! Congrats.
PAbbMom...

Thanks for the kind thoughts, and I hope your son had a good time coming out to some of the high school games last season...and I'm glad Chris didn't disappoint! Maybe your son will be able to get down to Wilmington to catch a game, let me know.

What school does he go to? Wish him well for us, it is pretty neat to see the Northeast boys competing at the higher levels more and more these days. Good luck!

All the best,
Wally
My son is the CF'er for Pottstown in the PAC-10. We're never that great as a team but he's received some honors for his play. Unfortunately, we're in a different league so never went up against Chris's team. Thought we might see him at the Carpenter Cup but no such luck. I guess that's around the time of the draft. Just read the journal article and glad to see he's doing so well. It gives the kids hope around here that with hard work and natural talent that there is always the possibility of achieving your dreams!
