Old Timer ????

It has to do with how many posts you make. After 500 you are considered an old timer. AKBaseball20 hasn't been on for a year, but he is considered an old timer. It has nothing to do with how long you have been on the website.

what about those who have thousands of posts? Should they be considered USED UP?

To draw a baseball analogy. Looks like plate appearances are more imporatnt than hits....hmmm

The real old timers. Fungo, Bama Bomber, TRHIT, beenthere, Redbird, Jemaz and some so old they just make cameo appearances anymore and you rarely here of them.

Kinda like seeing Ted Williams every year at the all-star game.

I'm probably assuming a bit, but since my son now a freshman working out with the HS team I almost feel like this "oldtimer" has a right to post outside the Pre-HS Forum. If he actually makes the team I'll probably change names and become a newbie.

I hope I am still more alive than Ted, but certainly no comparison of me to either Ted Williams(although my wife threatens to freeze my head on a nearly daily basis) or Stan Musial is warranted.... they are baseball!

I have had to take this "DL" thing with a lot of humor... your guess is as good as mine, tonight's Pirate announcers say it could be as early as Tuesday in St. Louis.... I don't know!
