Thanks, guys. I'n no mathmetician, but trying to understand this, it's basically hits+walks+HBP divided by total number of plate apperances (not offical at bats but times up). Just trying to understand the equation and not just plug in numbers blindly.
Great website, JMoff. That will help me tremendously, as well as confuse the hell out of me at times!
It's plate appearances minus sacrifice bunts, minus any reached on catcher's interference. Probably one or two others I'm not thinking of as well...

Plate appearances is probably close enough. I know what you mean about confused.

Why SF counts against you and SAC doesn't? Probably because they figure a bunt is on purpose and a fly out that scores a run is just 'luck'? Don't know.
