We welcome you all to the last 15 years in Ellis county. Be patient, promote baseball, get your kids all the opportunities that you can. The talent pool will cycle, and the sports that use exclusion of other sports will loose numbers. We were told this by some wise people 5 years ago, and are so seeing it come true in Ennis. You have probably been told that FB pays the bills, but don't fall for that. FB creates all the bills it has to pay. Booster clubs are paying for a lot of baseball these days. In our case it has created some great experiences and opportunities for our kids. Crying shame our kids can't just play what is in season. I guess coaching legends can't be built that way.

Ok...I see what happened, here. Guthrie talked FD into coming over to the dark side. DBAT Mustangs-Funneldrill. Kind of a mouthfull, but who knows, maybe it'll work.

You sly dog.

I dont blame him if he did...atleast he wouldn't have to deal with the AD/Principal of Marcus and their dog ****!
Big Train, I agree with everything you said about your football program. Its a shame really to see fb players quit because of the reasons you spoke about. At our high school (JJP), believe it or not we all love our football coach/AD Robertson. He releases the kids after football season to go play their other sports and after spring sports are finished, the kids go back to one month of spring football in the morning before school. It works at our school. Just a shout our to our AD to let you know that some do not have just a football agenda.

What was MHS district record this year?

DMN says it was 7-8...why does that matter? They made the playoffs and upset the #1 ranked team in the state in the 1st round.

You think Colleyville would trade their district championship to still be playing???

Chief...you should worry more about your own reservation! LOL!!!
As long as the subject of football vs. baseball fairness is on the table.

1. while my son was at Frisco HS. the football coach made him bench press on the same day he was the starter in a baseball game. never made it out of the first inning.
2. why is it in Frisco (as well as most cities ) every Middle school has a $1M turf field but the high school baseball fields don't have tarps.
3. Why is it that our School's Principle is at every football game home and away, yet he only made it to one baseball game and stood on the visitors side.
4. why is it that on rain days in the spring Football stills gets the indoor facility before baseball, which is the in season sport.

Uncle Bubba is dead on, FB cost the most to run. some colleges can say that football brings in all the money, but for most programs and especially in high school, football is just the biggest line item on the budget.

As for Coach Senato, I have heard from parents in the program (third hand)what happened and the AD and Football coach should just be ashamed of themselves.

It doesn't matter. I was simply pointing out the original post was somewhat incorrect speaking of "winning".

I don't know. But I bet the Colleyville coach will still be coaching there next year. Something is working.

I have been with my tribe for many moon phases. Senato and his teams...not so. Don't know who to blame, AD, Head football coach, Kicking Bird, Tatanka, blah blah blah. Facts are, the marriage doesn't last long for whatever reason. This ain't the first divorce or tribe war.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...."
