GR 6 - PA 2.  Ange complete game 1 or 2 hitterr for GR.  Hartley 1 for 2 with 2 BB and 3 RBIs.  Trawl 2 for 3 with 1 run.  Number 20 for PA pitched well for 4, but gave up a big 6 run inning in the 5th.  Bases loaded for GR in the top of the 5th for Hartley, who hit a double to right field that cleared the bases.

Hoping the games scheduled for today are still a go. Definitely looks like another Kellam/FC kind of year but it's early. Seen PA twice and they look like a team rebuilding this year. Tallwood/Salem/Kempsville will probably be battling for the last spots come tournament time.

Can someone tell me how they are using the 7 innings a week for pitchers rule? Is it 7 innings and week automatically resets on Monday regardless of when the pitcher threw or is it one week rest between 7 innings?

I wanted to see the new rules also. Its from the VHSL website.

VHSL Baseball Pitching Regulations
For the purposes of this rule, delivery of one pitch constitutes having pitched in one inning.
A pitcher may pitch in a maximum of nine innings in one day but not more than fourteen innings in any seven day consecutive period.
If a pitcher pitches in one inning for four consecutive days that pitcher shall have one calendar day of rest from competition pitching beginning with the day following the fourth consecutive day a pitch is thrown.
If a pitcher pitches in two or three innings in one day that pitcher shall have one calendar day of rest from competition pitching beginning with the day following the first day a pitch is thrown.
If a pitcher pitches four to seven innings in one day that pitcher shall have two calendar days of rest from competition pitching beginning with the day following the first day a pitch is thrown. Further restrictions regarding this section include:
- After two days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of two innings.
- After three days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of three innings.
- After four days of rest a pitcher may pitch to the limit of the rule.
If a pitcher pitches in eight or nine innings in one day that pitcher shall have three calendar days of rest from competition pitching beginning with the day following the first day a pitch is thrown.
- After three days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of two innings.
- After four days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of three innings.
- After five days of rest a pitcher may pitch to the limit of the rule.
This limitation applies to regular season as well as post season play.
Penalty
Violation of this rule constitutes use of an ineligible and forfeiture of any games in which such violation
occurs. Additionally use of an ineligible carries a $100 fine for the offending school.
Educational Points
The medical community generally uses 10 to 15 as an average of pitches per inning.
A pitcher’s pregame, post game and between appearance programs are critical in development an appropriate pitching program.
Preseason and early season programs should recognize acclimatization, progression of pitches and physical fitness development of the athlete.

as far as opinions on the beach this year...after seeing every team play...kellam is going to run away with the top seed...i see an FC team who could of easily lost to tallwood...a terrible PA team in a rebuilding year... a kempsville team with a favorable schedule early so don't let record fool you... ocean lakes doesn't even look like the same school.... tallwood looks like the same old team, talent to win, but can't get the job done...salem is average.....bayside is hurting in all categories....Cox has decent pitching but beatable due to injuries...landstown is always a toss up... struggling defensivle....green run has one solid player....so the beach as whole is really a complete toss up after kellam
