If Robert Woodard can pitch 9 innings tomorrow and 9 Sunday, scoring a run each game, I'll take UNC to sweep.

OSU is very good. They have a ton of speed and they play very hard. They have some very good pitching as well. They concern me because Im pulling hard for the Heels. UNC does have two outstanding arms behind the plate that can shut down the running game. I really think its a toss up. Both teams are deserving and it will come down to two out hits with risp , who plays the best defense and who does not walk batters. Thats pretty obvious I know.

I am for UNC. Let's get one for the ACC!

Trouble is, OSU has been there before, know what it is like to lose, and they are not going to give in so easily.

That's OK though, we're used to it. That's why the Beavers didn't get a national seed, and why everyone wrote them off when they lost their first Series game.

That was a very good ball game. Congrats to UNC.

The game was basically won on an 0-2 triple on a very hard to hit pitch ... good piece of batting and some luck also entered into it.

That is why I love baseball.

What is the chance of knowing the parents of both starting pitchers in the CWS (possible) final game? (OK I don't really KNOW you Prepster, but you know how the HSBBW site is... it sure seems like it.)

Andrew is 5-11 according to the UNC roster sheet

He is also one heck of a catcher but his 90 plus fastball keeps him on the mound---he also has a great "attitude" for a closer

TARheels took it last night 4-3, but what I saw was a strike zone for the Beavers that extended on both sides of the plate by over 6 inches. There was one strike I saw called, while an OSU player was at bat where the catchers glove caught the ball aligned behind the opposite batters box. Geeeezzz last time I saw that was with LL.

This increasingly frustrated the OSU batters and it became increasingly clear by the end of the game that the OSU team had no confidence in the strike zone.

The OSU team must eliminate the umpires frrom their game and play it like their are none on the field. Once they do that their concentration will be on what's important, defense and pitching, batting, hitting and running the bases.

I suspect that the series will go best of two-out-of-three.

Something else that bothers me...looking at some of the Carolina players, acne and undue sweating. When was the last time these guys were checked for Steroids? Hmmmmmmm...

Last time I checked these "kids" are in their late teens and very early twenties....acne time!
