Ostochondritis Dissecans (Shoulder)

One of my son's summer ball teammates has been diagnosed with Ostochondritis Dissecans (OCD) of the shoulder. Apparently, this is very, very rare. Usually it happens to the knee or ankle. I am hoping someone here can share any experience they have with this diagnosis.

There is an OCD thread in the "Injuries and Recovery" forum. Several posters have players with elbow OCD.
