My son's jr. high team played again on Tuesday. Beautiful weather again-around 68 degrees and blue skies. First game-goes into extra innings and we are the visitors. We win in 8 innings:8 to 7! Too many errors but we got the win. Even though he catches the coach is allowing him to run because of his speed. Second game goes only 5 innings and we win 5 to 0! Clint still needs to work on his batting, but catching is going well. He threw out a runner at second and should of had one at first(umpire did not have a good look and his 1st baseman said his glove was between the bag and runner's foot). He blocked at the plate well, too.
Thanks for the offer Pam. He loves to catch. As an 8th grader Oklahoma rules don't allow him to play varsity. The high school coach says if he keeps improving he is the varsity catcher next year.
OK ladies I am through bragging again. Thanks for letting me. How about everyone else? How is the season going?

Thanks, Blue. His high school coach(asst. jr. high coach) has really worked with him on blocking balls. He told him that when he is catching in high school he wants to hear other coaches comment on his blocking skills. It is tough work, but he loves it.
