Doc---you told one member to that "unless you have personnel first hand information why don't you just drop it." Well to state that some players are playing out of zone when you don't know the facts is bullcrap! The Wright kid lives in Shadowlawn along with both of his parents and 3 siblings. Last I looked Shadowlawn is in the FC district. Get YOUR facts straight!

I realize the last thread was closed because it certainly went off the charts from the orginal topic. ALL of these kids are in the midst of a great Beach District race and all of you should chill out and let them play it. Keep the posts to the topic at hand- you just caused the thread for this weeks beach scores to be closed.

Now, if you want to know the truth about any transfer or out of zone player, why don't you just ask the family. Maybe you'll get a straight answer, maybe you won't; but it sure would stop all this bantering back and forth, and sure would help stop the rumor mill.

As parents of one of these players that is being talked about, we'll let you know why he moved. Just ask us. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with baseball. It wasn't playing time, he wasn't "recruited"- the 2 main reasons we have heard. We moved for economic reasons- our house sold in 4 days; we couldn't find one to buy that was the size we wanted in our price range; and then we were running out of time. We went to him, told him our situation, then asked him where else he would go to school because it sure didn't look like we could stay in the district. He was part of the decision, but it sure wasn't his choice to move, esp as a rising junior. But, he told us where he would like to go to school if he couldn't stay put. So, we weren't going to settle for a house we didn't want just to stay in district to play baseball. We found "our house", the one we had been looking for; it was in another school district, and we moved. Period. Kind of boring, huh? We were told that we should have waited until after he started school, then he could have stayed at his old school, but that isn't right, either. If you want to know who we are, PM us. We are very glad to share our experiences about moving.

All of this negativity and coach/player bashing just isn't productive to the HS Baseball Web. So chill out, watch some great Beach baseball, and cheer the players on win or lose. They work extremely hard every day, and they hopefully do it for the love of the game, not for what anyone else thinks or wants. Have fun, play hard and enjoy the game for what it is- A GAME.
