I have question for you guys. It happened last year at the only field in the league with field turf. It was high school game. Runner on first ball hit to the third baseman. He played it off his chest and threw to second to get the lead runner. The second baseman then relayed to first, but the ball was late. The home coach asked for time and talked with the BU for a moment and then they called the batter runner out at first. They said the runner from first slid past the bag at second. Can you guys explain this to me. I guess I should add that the sliding pits are field turf also and the runner rear end was on the bag. There no contact with the fielder.
