I am surprised games were played, son came home covered head-to-toe in mud attempting to get the field ready for Friday's game.

First Colonial 4, Princess Anne 2
Max Fischetti struck out five and Jordan Egan had three hits as the Patriots upset the No. 2 Cavaliers.

First Colonial 4, #2 Princess Anne 2
First Colonial 001 001 2 — 4 10 0
Princess Anne 020 000 0 — 2 3 2
W—Fischetti (2-0). L—Nieto (0-1).

FC Mom any details? Egan another rising Sophmore (RHP/LH hitter)

Lake Taylor 3, Maury 1

Kyle Marshall went 2 for 3 with an RBI as the Titans (9-3, 6-2 Eastern District) knocked off the No. 8 Commodores for their sixth straight win.

Lake Taylor 3, #8 Maury 1
Maury 000 000 1 — 1 4 0
Lake Taylor 021 330 x — 3 5 2
W—Costa (6-1). L—Cowgill.

Appears to be some errors in the box, however I noticed that the young man credited with the lost was the same which had thrown 146 pitches in his last outing. Any info?

Lawman,
Actually, the game was a team effort. Jordan is JR
and came thru at key times. Max actually took the game on his shoulders and his Senior Leadership
guided us to the victory. Also, lack of errors on our part ,where as in the past seemed to be our downfall..... We are a young team (1 senior) , with most returning next year.....

Yes, hopefully the field will be ready. They have been working on it and will probably do so more today. They actually had to pump water off the field yesterday.

I would venture to project a pitching matchup of Tomchick and Lawhorn; from what I hear the Kellam game could not be made up due this week due to the lack of umps. Lawhorn was suppose to go against Kellam and Butler vs PA. Not for sure (solid) as to whom will throw tomorrow.
Landstown has their work cut out for them with PA. (And if they make up the Kellam game next week). But I definitely think Landstown has the potential to win both of these games. It seems like they have finally been working as a team and are coming together as a solid club.

As for the PA game, I'd expect it to be a pitchers duel- with few runs being scored. Tomchick and Lawhorn or Butler are easily amongst the best pitchers in the beach. Which ever team hits the ball better, makes the least mistakes, and plays good fundamental baseball should win this game. (Isn't that what baseball is though?)

Perhaps Landstown is holding a grudge on their shoulder from last years game? (Final score PA-11 LHS-9, Landstown had it won but in the 7th, a costly error and a Cavs rally won it for them).

It sure seems like all PA vs. LHS games turn out to be a nail biter. In 2005, the year PA won the state championship, Landstown won 1-0 in the bottom of the ninth. Huge crowd, pitchers duel. Ryan Crain had 13 Ks in a one hitter. (His school record has since been passed by Cameron Butler with 14Ks against Bayside earlier this year Cool)

Should be a great day for baseball tomorrow and an exciting game!
