Picked up an Adidas Pro Series elbow and leg guard not too long ago for 5 dollars apiece. Only problem is that team colors are navy and gold and the leg guard is red while the elbow guard is royal blue. Has anyone heard of or tried spray painting the guards? Any advice is welcome.

I have never tried it, but you'd probably do best by finding some type of base layer paint made specifically for plastic, then spray on the color you want. Make sure you tape up anything you don't want painted.
Sounds like a mess. Just rock what ya got. I see kids all the time wearing protective gear that does not match the team uniform.
