Enjoy the total experience. Watch the skills, games and the interaction your son will have with the other players. Make notice of other players and their names, you may read about them someday. I have enjoyed the time away from home with my son and look forward to doing it all again with my younger one. Make sure you bring a few extra dollars for t-shirts and other items of remembrance. It's a great opportunity to watch and let your son grow up right in front of you. dirol
We learned so much from other parents. They spoke candidly about other showcases, camps and schools they had already visited with their sons. Together with HSBBW, this gave us a good basis from which to decide where to invest our time and dollars. We encountered many of the same folks later on "the showcase circuit", and found ourselves rooting for each other's sons. The other parents knew what we were going through and provided a convenient sounding board. We still stay in touch with a few of them. It was a great experience and many are willing to share and support.
