When we lived in Las Vegas, they had a perfect way to run the Easter egg hunts. They used the local Little League baseball fields. They ran several "hunts" by age group and only children were allowed on the field. Everyone else was outside of the fence. Of course, the eggs and candy weren't really hidden but there was plenty and it was fun watching the kids having a great time as they filled up their buckets.

I don't know why more communities don't try this.
Bob Bigelow, a former NBA player is a youth sports advocate. He wrote a book "Just Let The Kids Play." This egg hunt story reminded me of his book. He mocked over the top parents by suggesting all kids fun would be over if parents tried to organize the game "Tag." He mocked before you know it someone will suggest the "taggers" in our town are better than "taggers" in your town and travel tag will start.

There are parents skilled at removing the fun from sports. I've often posted kids would be having more fun if their parents would stop telling them they weren't.
