We are finalizing our instructors as we speak including U of Indianapolis, IUPFW, Dayton, Iowa and area MLB scouts. We will also have another 10-12 schools in attendance from JC-D1 and I will update next week as we finalize those attending. All instruction will be provided by collegiate and professional scouts! We will also use results from the showcase to create player profiles and make that information available for their use. Thanks and, again, I'll update shortly.
Just a quick update and answers to some questions coming in about the showcases for this fall. We have collegiate and area MLB scouts coming in to perform the instructional portion of the showcase on Saturday's and many will stick around for the live games that wrap up Saturday and that are played all day Sunday. All showcases take place at the minor league stadiums listed above on Saturday (10am-4pm) and Sunday (9am-4pm). Players will run through a combine Saturday including timed 60's, full infield and outfield sessions, instructional sessions, and a full batting practice before the start of live games.

All showcases are open to players looking to attend. We typically see 15-20+ coaches at our events and several reaching out to nearly 40 scouts. We do keep results from all showcases to build player profiles and will post those results accordingly on our partner sites. We will also send that information to all scouts in attendance and those on our mailing list. We want to make sure those in attendance have every opportunity to gain exposure from the showcases.

-isaacvanwart - nothing up in the Mid-Atlantic region at this time though we will have several events in 2009 for your region.

Thanks.

Most of our 2009 schedule is completed and will be on the site in the next couple of weeks. We should have our complete schedule up by the first or second weekend in September, at the latest! You will see over 40 tournaments in IN, MI, MO, OH, PA, NY/NJ, AR, NM, KS, OK, TX, UT, VA, SC, CA, KY, and likely another state or two as well. I'll keep you posted when it comes out.
Finalizing several more as we speak due to the number of players attending the showcase but we will currently have the following scouts and coaches in attendance working the event:

Indiana University
Pittsburgh University (PITT)
Eastern Kentucky
Transylvania
U of Evansville

Area Scouts:
Pittsburgh Pirates
Oakland Athletics
Milwaukee Brewers

I'll update you on the other schools attending to work the showcase. We will see several other coaches to attend for scouting but these are guys we know for sure that will be in attendance to provide instruction and evaluations of players.
University of Kentucky and Jefferson College (MO) will also be performing instruction and running the showcase for the Lexington Legends event.

Coaches attending the Ft. Wayne and Schaumburg events will vary...

Pitt
U of Indy
IU
Evansville
Butler University
Milwaukee Brewers
Pittsburgh Pirates
IPFW
Michigan State
North Central College
Jefferson College
Parkland College

...and several others will rotate in to provide the instruction, run the showcase and do evaluations. Look to see others in attendance just for recruiting as well.
