Patriot District Standings

WS has not lost a district game. Too much work to go thru all those websites to figure out the records. The next two weeks will pretty much decide the Patriot District as the top four teams will face each other. It will also put a premium on pitching as each team will play five games during this time frame.

You are correct golf - I saw Woodbridge and mistook it for Woodson.

AHS is 5-5 overall per digital sports. Missing Friday score AHS 7, TC 4. District wins against Lee, WPot and TC. District losses to LB, Lee, WTW.
No good place to go for "real" standings. Digital sports if OK, but only as good as the people posting scores, rosters, stats, etc. The game summaries and stories are either stale or missing though.
Wash Post is horrendous and only seems to care about lacrosse and s****r. Ripe territory for aspiring sports journalists...

See....now isn't it ridiculous that teams are not reporting scores or stats??? Whoever runs the Northern region needs to be ousted. It should be mandatory!!! So what happens at the end of the year...coaches will all of a sudden tell other teams that they have all these players hitting + .500....and that they should all be named "All District."

I believe Phil Murphy left Digital Sports and he pretty much handled all the Northern Region baseball for them. He did a heck of a job over the last couple seasons. There were highlight videos of at least two or three games a week last year and this year there have been none.

ok thanks for the correction eyefortalent1. I had the Lee/Westpo score reversed. I THINK all the rest is correct. So Lee/WestPo/TC all have 1 district win...

With 4 games left until the tournament, here are the current standings with one missing result from Friday night 4/30 (Lee vs. WestPo)

Looks like tiebreakers may very well come into play for seeding purposes...

How does the tournament work. In the Liberty, the 1 & 2 seeds got byes to the semifinals. the 3 & 4 seeds got first round byes.So the first round was 5v8 and 6v7. Does the Patriot work the same way. I kind of like this setup since it really rewards the top team and gives a lot of emphasis to the regular season.

Patriot tournament works exactly the same way bcb3. So if you are fortunate enough to earn the 1 or 2 seed, one win gets you a berth to the regional.

1st or 2nd place finish guarantees a well earned regional berth and eliminates the possibility of having that one bad game mean more than a season of hard work.......

What were the LB and Woodson results.....

With Woodson losing to Annandale, if LB wins out they will finish 2nd.If LB loses to Woodson and SC wins out SC will finish 2nd. And, if Woodson beats LB and SC loses to West Springfield with no other upsets, there will be a 3 way tie for 2nd. How does the tiebreaker work?

Rollapair - A couple of corrections to the above. I think Marshall beat Madison in both teams' finale, so that would make Madison 11-3 (having also lost twice to McLean) and presumably Marshall 6-8. Also, Oakton was 2-8, not 2-6.
