Anyone have any experience with the PBR showcases in the Va area?  My 2016 received and invite and I would like to know if the event is attended by anyone other than the PBR staff.  Also, how does PBR do with regards to feedback and/or promoting the players.  Any feedback is appreciated as I have little knowledge on PBR VA/DC.

I did a search and there is not a lot of recent info on PBR events.  Much of what was available was either from the mid west, or way out of date.

Here is their link:  http://www.prepbaseballreport.com/virginia.  It is run by Sammy Serrano, HC, Patriot HS, Nokesville VA + is just gaining traction in NoVA, since its inception late summer or fall of last year.  My son was injured last year and did not participate but did watch some of the event.  There was a small group of VA D1 + D3 coaches in attendance.

If you want to deal with a class act Sammy and his folks are just that.  He has an extensive baseball background and is well connected not only throughout the state of VA but also across the country.  Like anything new it does take some time to get up and going but being on the front side of something like this enables him to give your player a that little extra attention he may not get with some of the bigger venues.  Feedback will be posted on their website, you will get a 30-day membership for .01 where you can review that, compare with others, and view the video.  For our guys that attend we then take that independent/reputable 3d party eval and populate the Field Level or Captain U and point them to the video link. The events are well ran and Sammy is right there in the mix as things are getting done.  Highly recommend them.

Agree with Redsdad.  What PBR has done in a very, very short period of time in VA/DC is impressive.  They are now in 20 states and growing.  Highly reputable, especially in the core states where they started (PA and Ohio, I think but not sure).  They are for real and do a great job.  The quality of people that they are attracting to run various states is impressive.  Sammy for sure.  But, also, Dennis Healy in MA.  Dennis was an AC and RC at Wake Forest prior to joining PBR to cover MA.  Bottom line: I would go if at all possible.  I do not know if/how many coaches will be there, but I do know there were a bunch at their late Fall event/games at UVA.  I suggest you go to the website and email Sammy with questions.  They are first class at responding and being helpful.  My son has not attended one of their events yet, but we are planning to go to this even though he is committed, primarily because PBR wants to see him throw and I am such a believer in what they are doing.
