Thanks all....for the well-wishes. PE lost this morning to last year's champion, Baytown Lee -- a very good team. Southlake Carroll, another one of the favorites, also lost early in the Championship bracket. 7 on 7 means little in the larger scheme of things but it is a fun exercise.

He definitely takes after his mom.

collikar --- he isn't very good with a lawn-mower. Wink Hope all is going good for T-bird -- will they play AABC or Premier season-ending events?

Texan --- A&M is an amazing place, eh?

cheapseats --- it will slow down just in time for school. I hope your guys with the funny hats are having a good season. Lately, I'm all about having fun with this summer baseball thing, even in the intense moments. It appears (from other threads) that some of the hot summer rivalries are not over, but it's nice to have "friends" at the HS baseball web!

OBN -- thanks for the little "pub" for PantherSon --- you'd think the DMN reporter could inquire as to the correct spelling of his name! Smile

No kidding! That 18U thread is getting a little deep. Those guys need to kiss and make up. Wink
T-DB --- need I remind you that Premier is not a league? Big Grin You must be referring to the American Premier Baseball Association Freshmen Championship tournament? <-- now there's a mouthful!

I am not one that considers the Mustangs to be a so-so organization -- did I imply as much? (I hope not). The 'Stangs are a great organization -- we were a Mustangs team last year. We have played 2 of the 3 teams in the 16U age group and I like both groups -- a lot of very good young players....including yours. It sounds like your guys will be better players as a result of this season --- that's what summer baseball is all about. Mental toughness is a valuable attribute as these kids face the challenges of HS sports. And it is difficult to teach.

Good Luck as your team wraps up the season and prepares for post-season play.

I'm sure you seldom offend collikar.......with grammar anyway! Cool

Hey -- no fair deleting posts before I have a chance to reply!!! hehe.

PD - I think there are only 2 Mustangs teams in the 16U age group. There are also 2 teams in the 15U age group which I think you have played one of them.

Good luck to the Mustangs-Sharp 15U team today! They are one of 4 teams still playing in the winners bracket of the Premier Baseball Freshman Championship tournament from an original field of 24 teams from 5 states. They are the only North Texas team still alive in the tournament out of the 7 area teams that participated.

cheapseats -- you are correct -- we played Jack's team in Burkburnett and one of the 2 16 yo teams there. I forgot that we have not matched up against your guys. Thanks for setting me straight. I hope all four teams have had positive experiences this summer. Smile

I think this topic should be closed ---- someone will see me participating and think I am trying to promote..................football! Eek
