I have been to the campus in Malibu and in a word, it is gorgeous there. Several of their players have been drafted as well.

Was there vacationing a couple of years ago and visited the campus..very impressive.

Coach Rodriguez is a high integrity guy, very straightforward and approachable. His assistants are also easy to deal with.

He doesn't differentiate between scholarship players and guys who don't get baseball money but are there on regular financial aid, which is not uncommon for schools as expensive as Pepperdine.

He also has as a matter of policy that any baseball scholarship he gives is good for four years, even if the kid never sees an inning on the field.

The campus is unreal. The baseball diamond is in a great setting, but the facility itself is just OK.

Some students chafe at all the campus rules, which are pretty limiting, from what I have heard.

As other's have said the campus is just fantastic, great atmosphere.
Coach Rod Is just as Rob Kremer has said, straightforward with honesty and integrity.
I personally do not get involved with the baseball part of my son's career at Pepperdine.
He handle's his own business there.
So far Baseball has been fine, you earn your time on the field.
The coach is loyal to the upperclassmen, but will not hesitate to give all players a chance to prove they belong.
Coach Rod will play the best player's as he see's fit.
Sometime's you just have to wait your turn if all thing's are equal.
Sometime's that's hard on some players to handle.
But those that except that, have been rewarded in the long run.

I couldn't be happier with the College and the Academic's.
The Help and personal support my son has received is second to none.
I hope that answer's some question's for you.

I know several players that have transferred out this year, all pitchers that felt they were mishandled. I believe there were close to 10 kids. I'm not sure about the details but I would certainly look into it before committing.

I know the new pitching coach. He has been bouncing around different programs recently. We'll see how this one goes.

Be careful what you read on a public message board as there are 2 sides to every story. I would listen to the EH since he has personal knowledge about the program. Send him a private message for more info but be careful criticizing players/program/coaches on a public message board.

I have heard that the pitching coach there was solid.I think he moved for other reasons.He went to Maryland, has he moved again?There were some players that left, it was discussed a lot on rivals,com
When being recruited it is good to do your homework, but impossible to find out everything about a program from the inside out.I agree talking to a parent who has their son there is a good idea.

I did talk via PM with theEH - very informative. It's early in the process for my son so we have time to really check things out. Thanks for the feedback.

CABB, the purpose of this site is to share information and inform, my point is look into the school, I DO know several of the boys who left for JUCO, maybe its their problem, I can't say, but If I were looking into a school I would appreciate knowing there MAY be a problem, and have the opportunity to address it.
