My son went to it during Christmas of his junior year to get ready for the season. The Pepperdine coaches are good guys that worked hard to give everyone a positive experience.
The big plus is sitting in the stands looking out over the Pacific out to Catalina Island.
Thanks! That's really good to know. My main goal was keeping my son safe from the influence of my crazy in-laws while we visit them over Christmas! I'm glad it's a quality program. We are looking forward to it.
FWIW, a friend of mine's son went there last year and really liked it. The dad told me that the kids were always moving doing something baseball related. Not a lot of standing around which he has seen at some other camps.
We ended up not going last year because of an injury, but got very good reviews from some other posters. The thread is in "I'll see you there!" just search on Pepperdine. The weather was beautiful while we were there - I wish 2B could have gone.
The view from the Campus is spectacular, same for the field. They have a very competitive baseball program, I belive last year (or the year before) they hosted one of the Western Region CWS tournament. We are having some discussions about having my son go this year...depending on basketball-family schedules. Will let you know.
4thGen went to one of their summer camps and loved it. By the end of the week he was trashed because they trained hard from can see to can't see. Every day was topped off with walking up the steps to get back to the dorms and cafeteria. That will get you in shape! I really enjoyed spending a couple of days in Malibu visiting him.
