DeSoto's Kenny Gilbert plays on the Texas Dukes 18U. I wish him the best!

Disappointing to see the Columbia Angels, Houston Heat, Kyle Chapman, South Texas Sliders, et al, missing from that list.

You might know better than I, Texan -- but those teams are probably participating in or preparing for a Premier event.

WB, trying to equate those shows a need to become more familiar with the topic at hand.

The Premier WS's are not a substitute for WWB, IMHO. But they will have some of the top teams in the country: Austin Slam, Columbia Angels, Dallas Mustangs, Houston Heat, Indiana Bulls, Kyle Chapman, Memphis Tigers, South Texas Sliders, etc. A long way from USSSA, SS or TC.

Posters -- the purpose of this discussion was to provide information and/or updates on the 18U East Cobb tournament, which begins tomorrow. All Texan did was mention the fact that many good Texas teams were not in Atlanta. Please take opinions on Premier, etc. to another thread.

Reminds me of last year. DBAT went 3-0 without giving up a run(Rain all week) and got sent home on tie breaker.

Still a well ran tournament and understood the circumstances.

I'm going to steal a little of Kermit's thunder -- it looks like DBAT 17 finished 40th after pool play and squeaked into the Championship bracket (40 teams) at the PG 18U Wood Bat tourney in Atlanta. Way to go DBATTERS!

Looks like we lost all the Dallas teams in the 18U WWBA Championship in the First Round. The DBat 17U's and the Blackhawk 18's lost this morning.... Both had a great tourney, a good run and I give them my Congrats!
