What coaches around the country don't either know, realize or understand is that the Seattle area and the NW in general is an absolute hotbed for talent. If you look at the elite of the elite teams in the NW there is talent stacked up and down the rosters of teams. For example:
Taylor, Chaffey, RIPS, Stars, Baden, Seattle Select, Spokane Dodgers, Portland BBC, and Federal Way Buzz all have college and pro prospects lined up and down the rosters year in and year out. It is a bit of a surprise to me why more D1 coaches aren't coming into Seattle in the summer to check these kids out, because what happens alot is that since there isn't alot of D1's around the NW alot of these kids go JC, which is why schools like Bellevue CC, Edmonds CC, and Lower Columbia CC are mainstays in the national JC rankings and alot of times have more kids getting drafted on a yearly basis than the 4 year schools. D1's could come in and swipe some of these kids away and make their ballclubs better fast because these kids can really play some elite level ball.
Example: Check out the freshman shortstop at Texas Tech who was committed to Bellevue CC until right around June of this last year when Texas Tech flew up and watched him and offered him a scholarship. That's an example of what could and should be happening more often around here.
The org that I'm friendly with is a HUGE fan of PacNW players. If you think about it for a few seconds, I'm sure you'll figure out who it is
