Nice idea, Coach May. My son is RHP Mike Edgerton and he's an '08 as well. He's also (as is your son I imagine) on Prospects Plus.
PG has been a terrific experience for him--he went to his first one in the summer between his 8th grade and freshman year and then this past summer between his freshman and sophomore year. In fact, his second showcase was the Ohio Valley Top Prospect Showcase, and Mike was the only sophomore there. He was coming off four straight games and his speed was down to 74 mph, but two weeks after the Ohio Valley event, he was at the Notre Dame recruiting camp and Coach Gumpf phoned me a week later to tell me Coach Rooney had timed his fb at 76-80 mph and told us they (ND) were putting him on their "follow" list and he'd be getting invites to everything they had from then on. A couple week's rest makes a big difference, especially for a pitcher's velocity!
You and other posters may be interested in a book Mike and I cowrote (I'm a fulltime writer) when he was 12 that came out last year from Diamond Publications/Taylor Publishing (the publishers of the Dorfman Mental ABC baseball books), titled "Surviving Little League," a spoof at daddyball from the kids' point of view. (Always interested in increasing sales... also, Mike's share of the royalties goes into his college fund.)
Looking forward to meeting you, Coach May, and other webbers at future events. I've always enjoyed your posts.
