i am a 5'9" 140 lb freshmen going to be sophomore. i was invited to a perfect game showcase this year, but my dad thinks i haven't changed enough from last year to go. Last year i was 2 inches shorter and 30 lighter. i am a pitcher and ss and my pitching numbers are my signature from a couple of outings. and i would like to know if it would be worth going to this showcase or not?

Your FB and change has a 18-20MPH split? May want to have those re-checked.

As far as attending the showcase, my guess is your Dad is giving you pretty good advice. You should thank him for it, many Mom's and Dad's would not be so honest. Heck look at all the "American Idol" contestants... sometimes i wonder who in the heck let them try out, doesn't anyone love them. Big Grin

Get your numbers re-checked at a local academy, there is lots of time for a rising soph to showcase his abilities. How is your hitting, fielding, running?

Your dad's spoken.

Why are you seeking this forums opinion?
