We went last year and it was reasonably well followed. My son was invited by PG and we went to check it out and to see if it made sense for his travel team to go this year. I think they are sending 4 teams this year. Also remember that last year was the first year and it was in Tucson and considerbly smaller than what this year looks like this year in Pheonix. I am sure PG has the numbers but it looks like this year there are going to be in the neighborhood of 100 teams.(upper and lower) I think last year it was probably 1/2 that.

Definitely worth it as number of teams are increasing especially only on its 2nd year. Eventually, it will mirror the Jupiter experience.

This year will be much more competitive with the quality of teams participating. With this, I expect much more college and pro scouts watching.

If there was a turning point (after Freshman year) to RR23Jr's baseball career, It was this tournament. We will be forever grateful getting that email from Perfect Game inviting him to play for their team PG Gold. It also helped that he had a good tourney which started to open some doors. It was his 1st and probably most popular Highlight Video ( 6 plays at 3rd base and we missed the 1st one! )

Underclass--Peoria, AZ
Upperclass--Goodyear, AZ

All games will be in one complex so there would be less travelling. There are also special tickets available thru PG for the DiamondBacks (They are currently very hot) vs Dodgers (sans Manny)series that weekend! Another plus is hopefully cooler weather.

Son is 2012 3rd Baseman, Pitcher & Power hitter. More importantly he is kind and gets along great with everyone. Has Played Legion Majors and is currently playing fall baseball vs junior college teams. Just became aware of the PG Showcase Tournaments and is playing in Jupiter this October. Would like to go to Arizona Underclass National also if the opportunity exists. Can Play 2011's or 2012's. Will provide link to extensive video's for evaluation by any coaches to see if he could help the team.
