If you read some of their "scouting reports" they are not written very scout like in my opinion. Also, they gave a kid I know a glowing report which was very embellished and simply not a true representation of his skill level. I suggest you look at some evaluations and judge for yourself. While it may sound appealing to have such a glowing report, recruiters know the truth and will not put much stock in the site. You are better off getting a berecruited site for $60 imo or create your own website. Good luck.
I 3rd berecruited $60 approach. We have gotten plenty of interest and Campus invites from it. Just make sure whatever video you post is to the point and doesn't have crazy graphics and music. It has a letter writing feature and "invite" function to colleges you are interested in. Bottom line..it's an avenue to draw initial interest but you still have to be seen on their campus or at events in the summer, just my two cents.

I used Perfect Recruits www.perfectrecruits.com for my son in 2011 and it worked! I used them again in 2013 for my younger son and again it was very successful.  Dozen of offers came in for both of them. Several players on my son's travel team used them too and all committed to college. In fact the seniors that graduated with my younger son that were not with Perfect Recruit did not get a scholarship but all of the ones with Perfect Recruits did. Its a personal approach to college recruiting I highly recommend them to everyone.  They have a really good and innovative college exposure and showcase system in place. The president of the company was always accessible and available everytime I called even on weekends. They also helped a lot with finding additional monies other than what the baseball department and the admissions offered us.

Hmmm.  First post?  Interesting.

I used Perfect Recruits www.perfectrecruits.com for both my sons They delivered what they promised. Honest and trustworthy company. The president of the company personally handeled both my son's recruiting.  I saved over $15k a year for my older son's college tuition and $21k per year for my younger son's tuition as a result of their assistance.  Originally Posted by brushout:

Has anyone had havy contact with this companie? Good or bad.

I have been told by other parents that they charge $2000 for two years.

Not really sure if it is worth it or not.

I actually bit the bait, and went to their site.  Looked at profiles for two pitchers.  Both pitchers had the same script written about them.  Interesting facts that sent up BIG red flags.  One profile did not give any physical stats:  NO Height, weight, etc,and neither profiles gave radar readings (these are pitchers they are promoting!!!).  On one profile, they gave a projection of 84MPH when he hits senior year, so is currently lower than 84 as Junior, but no idea what current FB is at.  So a site charging $2K for a profile that does not list size of the athlete, nor current radar readings, but IS giving projected future radar readings....  "Caveat Emptor"......

I just hate to see young athletes and their families give money to ANY of these "scouting" organizations.

But I think we'll see even more of it in the next few years. There's one advertising on the sports radio station in Dallas. So they're going big-time.

It's easy to understand why, I suppose. The business model is attractive:

- Build a website

- Find a coach or two to "endorse"

- Get email lists from select youth sports organizations

- Spam hundreds of thousands of young athletes

- Hook a few hundred

- Do useless writeups

- Leverage these to entice more athletes

- Retire young

I know nothing of this organization and their effectiveness.  Here is the mindset we went with and would recommend this to everyone else:

Just like you don't need a throwing lesson to teach your 5 year old to throw a baseball in the back yard; you don't need a professional to make a video or email coaches.  Turn off Sportscenter, Fox News and NCIS and sit down with your son and do it yourself.

For a video we sent out, we called his summer coach who had D1 commit that was catcher and asked that kid to catch a bullpen.  Son threw, catcher caught, and I filmed.  When over, asked a buddy who was a computer guru and he showed me a 5 minute tutorial and I edited the film and son uploaded to youtube.

Sat down with son and he decided to email every D1, D2 and Juco in our state and the states touching our state.  So, I took the time and created an email list with each school, the HC name and email list.  Gave it to my son and he sent out personalized emails to each coach.

We kept track of who responded and started communication.  If we knew a coach watched him at a tournament or league or showcase; he sent another personalized email thanking them for doing this.

Our cost?  $40 lunch for summer coach and his catcher.

son has committed and will sign with a school that is paying 60%.

Just my opinion

Dang! Should've added that to my list!!

"Fool the masses by selecting a name that sounds legit."

Along those lines, there's a new outfit, called The Scouting News ... that epitomizes this. They're playing off of Sporting News. Been POUNDING these boys to submit their bios, only to build their database -- then go after more...

Sad.

I'd be very careful with my wording if I were them.  No one is perfect.  Nothing is 100%.
