One of my students was in an accident and has gone to be with the Lord. Please remember his family, asking that God's comfort will be with them.

Some time back, he took the time and effort to send me an e-mail, expressing his appreciation. That meant a good deal to me at the time. More now. A cherished gift.

This causes me to think. He left behind a gift. More than likely, many gifts. If I go to be with the Lord tomorrow, will I have left behind the gifts to others that I should?

Poignant post, Texan. Sorry for your loss.

Preacher spoke to us Sunday stating he’d been with many prior to their passing, and not once had he heard them say they wished they had spent more time at work.

As an educator, I believe everyday is an opportunity to positively touch a life.

The students, regardless of age, are the blessings that gift others. Look for the good in everyone, for therein lays the gift.
Texan, that is tragic news. May our loving Lord comfort you and this student's family and fill you with His peace.

Thanks for the reminder of what we all should be doing. I sometimes have good intentions to do something kind for another person, but let life get in the way and fail to follow through. Hopefully, I will improve in that area.
