Coach Pete Hughes and the University of Oklahoma baseball program will once again be conducting camps this summer. Members of the current baseball coaching staff along with current and former players will be giving instruction in all phases of the game including hitting, fielding, pitching and base running. All camps will take place at L. Dale Mitchell Park and each camper will receive a t-shirt at the conclusion of the camp.

Sooner Elite Prospect Camp (2017-2020 graduates)

*Campers will experience the same developmental instruction on and off the including strength and conditioning and academics. Each camper will be educated on the recruiting process and what it takes to become a student athlete at The University of Oklahoma. Campers will receive 1 morning session practice t-shirt and short, 1 afternoon session practice t- shirt and short,1 practice/game hat and a brand new wood bat in the size of your choice. Each camper will be assigned a locker in the state-of-the-art OU baseball Clubhouse and will have daily use of training room, shower facilities, daily laundry service, plus receiving “big league service” from OUr equipment staff.
This camp is limited to the first 50 pre-registered participants.
Future Stars Showcase (Grades 9-12 in fall 2016)

Day 1: 6:30-8:30pm
Day 2 and 3: 9am-12pm, 1:30pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm
Day 4: 9am-12pm, 1:30pm-4pm
*Individually specialized, as well as group instruction, in all aspects of the game, at a more advanced level. The first half of the day focuses on instruction, while the second half focuses on application through game situations and more scrimmaging. Presentations on college recruiting rules and academics, on arm care and injury prevention, and strength and conditioning. Also presentation by the OU Coaching Staff on what they look for during the evaluation and recruiting process of a Division 1 athlete.
Oklahoma Prospect Camp
August 20 and 21

*This camp will benefit the player looking to play at the next level. All Prospect events will include a pro-style workout including the 60 yard dash, arm-grades, and batting practice. Instructional Prospect Camps are two days of in-depth instruction and live-game innings. These two days are used to provide potential student athletes with quality instruction and an opportunity to display their abilities and talents through a professional style workout and games. | | |
