Looking at the PG Showcase schedule. I am in Colorado. The Rocky Mountain Showcase is the only one in Colorado in 2015. I would love to get my son to it, but it seems to be strangely scheduled for May 23 and 24th. The Colorado High School State Championships wrap up for all but 1A with their final four on May 22-23. I expect that, if my son't school makes it that far (and, as the #2 ranked school in the state, the chances look pretty good), there is a great chance he might end up pitching on the 23rd. I know PG has a good reputation for rolling fees over to another event if a player can't make it. However, this might be a decision that couldn't be made until the very last hour, perhaps. Is it likely that they would give me any break on such short notice? I do find it a little strange to schedule this the same weekend as the state championship tournament.

Yes, I have found PG to be incredibly reasonable. I would sign up and keep options open. If you need assurance, email Jim Arp at PG (his email is on their site somewhere), and he will respond in short order. Best of luck!
Sounds like we made a mistake in scheduling. I suggest you email staff@perfectgame and tell them your situation.
I just emailed Jim. Thanks for the advice.
So, Jim Arp got back to me immediately and I was told they would happily work with me if that happened - transfer of fee or a refund. great organization.

But, of course. All class...IMO.
