Hi everyone, just wondering if the PG events are as well attended by college scouts (coaches) as advertised on the website, or do alot of the contacts come from the videos posted later. Also are college coaches allowed to speak with players during these showcases? My son 2012 is attending the PG Top NE Prospect event in Bristol CT.Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the site. I am new at this as well but son participated in a PG showcase earlier this year.

I would guess there were 20-25 coaches at his event. Not sure of what schools but some schools you could tell who they were based on their shirts hats.

Coaches from what I understood are not allowed to speak with players. I did make the mistake of asking a coach during down time between games about his schools academic requirements and he asked if I was a parent of a player. I said yes and he politely said they can not seak to players or parents during the event.

Very well run event.
My son attended this event last year, and there were roughly 35+or- College coaches along with maybe 10 or so MLB scouts. Also, there was a list of what schools and teams were there, coaches/scouts signed in each day. I was very surprised by how many scouts/coaches were in attendance and even the last game on Sunday had about 10 or so still there.
