Are they worth going to? Thanks.

Futures game is the most recruited event I've ever been to and I've been to most. Also least expensive. I don't know about top 100 but there was almost every P5 school east of the Mississippi at both the ones I went to.

Thanks. Do you know about when kids start getting invited to the futures game? Wondering if invites come out early enough to decide between the 2 events.

My son played in the Futures game last summer. His invite was sent out the end of June. It was a great event and the amount of schools there is staggering.
We got invited first year in June and second year right after the first. Normally you do not get to go more than once. Son went after freshman year and after sophomore year. You have to do a PBR showcase to be eligible and then are invited.
Futures Games, and I don’t think it’s close for an uncommitted player. Son did both. PG isn’t limited to uncommitted kids so much of the attention goes to the top players (who are mostly committed at that point) - for those who think it matters, the social media coverage is better from PBR (particularly for pitchers)
The Northeast is well represented with coaches at Futures Games. I’m sure we saw multiple coaches from most of the conferences. PBR often clusters the games by region (NY will play NJ and PA for example) to make it even easier on coaches to identify their target recruits. Son started conversations with a number of Northeast schools after Futures Games.
Both are well worth it - draft talent and a lot of coaches at both
Son did not attend PBR Future Games. The PG Jr National was very well attended by college coaches, the most we ever saw at an event. However, son was in the first “wave / grouping”. I wonder if there were still as many coaches when you got to the third “wave”?
Good question @IKETBD. I’d like to know this too.
We did both. Both are great but if choosing one….PBR Futures. So many coaches and only 2 fields. It is a stage if there ever was one.
In terms of recruiting, there is no question. When my son walked off the mound at Futures, the coach handed him a paper with seven coaches he had been asked to call. It was more beneficial than any event we went to, and we did quite a few.
