What is the main difference between the Perfect Game World and Uncommitted Showcase?  Are college scouts allowed to watch the student athlete at the showcase since the dates of the showcase are Jan 4th and 5th which fall during the quiet or dead period?  Which one is best if the student is uncommitted?

Biggest difference is the World Showcase is invitation only and the uncommitted is not.

Mostly MLB scouts in attendance.  We report on all players. Regarding the uncommitted... It has worked out very well for some and not so well for others.  It all depends on how much talent you have.

The "World" has quite a history that includes players from Carl Crawford to Zach Greinke to Justin Upton to Adam Jones to Carlos Correa and many other Major League players.  Several MLB front office people (scouting directors) attend each year. It is the top off season scouting event in baseball, has been since 1998.

one of the advantages of the uncommitted is it is actually part of the World Showcase.  We have actually switched players to the world during the event.
