I have two questions for the experts.
1. I have read that baseball is turning into an offensive game with hitting being what makes a player..so much that second base is becoming a hitters position. That only leaves the pitcher and maybe centerfielder as defensive positions so are these 60 times really relevant?
2. Football and track people argue that 6 second plus 60 times are slow as from a standing start you can knock out roughly 10 yards per second so the 60 should be faster per 10 yards than the 40 so who is right. 4.4 40 vs 6.3 60?

Running speed is relevant for all outfielders, middle infielders, the DH and when running the bases
I only posiitons I, this is my opinion, dont get concerned with speed are at third base, first base and catching. Obviously if you get speed here it is a bonus-- we had a catcher with us this past fall that ran a 6.9 /60 which is exceptional for a catcher
There are very few 6.3 60 runners in any sport !
