Son was picked for a team going to Jupiter this year. He is an 2007 RHP. Wants to go to school on the West Coast or in Arizona. Is also going to Peoria in October for Senior Fall Classic. Is the Florida trip necessary or will he get enough exposure at the Senior Fall Classic? Just can't see flying him out to Florida to pitch a couple of innings unless there is a huge benefit to it.

The AZ Senior Fall Classic is a great place to be seen! Some of the best west coast teams will be there. There are some times dozens of West Coast coaches and scouts watching a specific game and there is something like 12 fields being played on at once.

If your son wants to be seen by a coach on the west coast, that would be worth it's time. There is not a write up on the tournament or like Perfect Game scouts doing evaluations on each player, that is what is so good about Perfect Game, but you can be seen by the coaches that you might interested in.

Now the kicker is with so many fields and players to be seen, it would be best if you have interest in specific schools, contact them to see if they are going to be there and let them know what your schedule is. It is very easy to have a pitcher have a great outing but not be seen! We have had pitchers contact coaches that they were interested in and just to come an inning after they pitched...
