Just did a quick review of the eight teams playing in the finals.

5 Number 1 seeds (Narazeth, Neuque Valley, Steamwood, St. Laurence, St. Charles East)
1 Number 2 (Palatine)
1 Number 10 (Lake Zurich)
1 Number 14 (Providence)

I know there were a lot of teams in the Southland that only had their big guns for the tournament. Other schools were set to win every game. There were several weekend games that went against summer tournaments. Interesting to see how this plays out going forward.

In the regional pairing I saw, Lake Zurich was the 10 seed who beat the #7 seed, Libertyville in the first round. Thanks to Playball2 for the link... Libertyville Regional
